Product Comparison
Compare products by application, performance, and applicable contaminants.
| Product | Best Use | Performance | Applicable Contaminants |
|---|---|---|---|
| Newman Zone EVO | Small droplet EVO maximizes mobility in fine grained soils | EVO with both fast release and long-term electron donorAn electron donor is a substance that provides the energy microorganisms need to carry out biological processes during bioremediation. In environmental remediation, electron donors are added to contaminated soil or groundwater to stimulate the growth and activity of naturally occurring or introduced... More | Chlorinated solvents, nitrated explosives, perchlorate, nitrate, metals |
| Newman Zone HRO | Coarse soils, fractured bedrock | Long-term donor with better oil retention in high-permeability media | Chlorinated solvents, nitrated explosives, perchlorate, nitrate, metals |
| Neutral Zone | Low pH conditions | Sustained pH buffering with retained solids | Supports all biological treatment |
| Newman Zone OS | Injection water preparation | Oxygen and free chlorine removal to protect bioaugmenation cultures | Supports anaerobic bioaugmentationBioaugmentation is the process of introducing specialized microorganisms into contaminated soil or groundwater to improve or accelerate the biological breakdown of pollutants. It is commonly used when the naturally occurring microbial population at a site is absent, too small, or lacks the ability t... More cultures SDC-9, SDC-9+ and TCA-20B |
| Newman Zone QR75 | Cost-effective fast release electron donorAn electron donor is a substance that provides the energy microorganisms need to carry out biological processes during bioremediation. In environmental remediation, electron donors are added to contaminated soil or groundwater to stimulate the growth and activity of naturally occurring or introduced... More | Rapid hydrogen release for anaerobic biostimulationBiostimulation is the process of enhancing the activity of naturally occurring microorganisms by improving the environmental conditions they need to grow and break down contaminants. Rather than introducing new microorganisms, biostimulation works by supplying materials such as electron donors, nutr... More. | Chlorinated solvents, nitrated explosives, perchlorate, nitrate, metals |

Sustainable Remediation
How to Select the Right Product
Selecting the Right Approach
Different site conditions require different treatment strategies. Products may be used individually or in combination depending on site chemistry, contaminant type, and remediation goals.
- Need sustained, long-term treatment? → Newman Zone EVO or HRO
- Need to maintain neutral pH? → Neutral Zone
- Need to remove free chlorine or dissolved oxygen? → Newman Zone OS
- Need to rapidly establish anaerobic conditions? → Newman Zone QR75 or QR90
- Need complete dechlorination? → SDC-9, TCA-20B and SDC-9+

USDA Certified Biobased
Most RNAS products are certified under the USDA BioPreferred® Program, verifying the use of renewable, crop-derived materials through independent testing.
